Mastering the Message: Better Personal Communication Skills – Better-Life!

“Conversation is an art in which a man has all mankind for his competitors, for it is that which all are practicing every day while they live.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Lisa is the author and publisher of  Quotes for Kids.  A book filled with character building quotations and life principles, similar to a book her father had given to her when she was a young girl. Her business savvy was the impetus behind selling over 15,000 copies, of Quotes for Kids

As life-learner and expert communicator, Lisa has the uncanny ability to take complex ideas and make them simple, and easy to understand. With a Master of Arts in Communication and three undergraduate degrees in business administration she understands that effective communication impacts everyone from face-to-face interaction with customers, to how organizational leaders influence their employees. Effective communication includes both verbal and non-verbal communication skills and mastering these skills has the power to transform any management team and any classroom. Mastering interpersonal communication skills will bring better results, and a better life.

As the author/publisher of Quotes for Kids, Lisa offers motivational and educational presentations to 5th grade students and young leadership organizations. Eleanor Roosevelt said “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” Memorizing these few words are powerful, and can help anyone to foster a positive attitude and not allow themselves to “feel inferior” whilst someone is trying to convince them otherwise.

Lisa also offers a Workshop to Inspire Young Writers, which evokes deeper thinking about the meaning of quotations, while weaving in discussions about the writing process. It includes some of Zinsser’s suggestions on how to write with clarity. This small group and one-to-one interaction is sure to get students excited about the writing process and their work.

In a presentation for Educators, Lisa tells her heartwarming story about how her very own school teachers helped her to write Quotes for Kids. This message provides extraordinary encouragement for Educators and affirms just how much their influence today can inspire a student for a lifetime.
